I think a cream, oatmeal, or beige overcoat/blazer can be a fantastic statement in both Fall and Winter seasons. It definitely stands out from the standard navy, black, and gray options that most people wear, and it is still able to easily hold up with fall and winter color schemes (oranges, browns, greens, reds, and grays).
