Make The Money - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Saw these two perform last night at The Bowery Ballroom, and I can confidently say it was the best show I have ever seen. They opened up with this track and carried the energy for the entirety of the night. Macklemore is not to be compared to Mac Miller, Sammy Adams, or any of those frat-rap weed rappers. He is, in my opinion, one of the most sincere, creative, and talented artists and lyricists currently producing music. He’s a game changer and extremely inspiring. It also doesn’t hurt that Ryan Lewis kills every beat he produces.
He dropped a couple new tracks last night, and I cannot wait for the newest album.

Hold Your Head Up - Macklemore
This is why I listen to Hip-Hop.
Honestly if you’re an artist, and you’re trying to roll out a song that doesn’t hold this kind of power, start it over. It’s amazing how one song can hold so much inspiration; Macklemore has that kind of ability. He makes change for the better, and he sounds great doing it. This song is seven years old, and still humbles me.
These lyrics have helped me through some shit. Long live Macklemore.

Normally, I’m not a graphic t-shirt kind of guy. I generally prefer a more formal look. However, my passion for hip-hop can temporarily put my feelings for graphic tees on hold. My roommate got me this Macklemore & Ryan Lewis shirt for my birthday, and it’s so so sick.

Ryan Lewis is one the best producers alive. His knack of finding the perfect indie/alternative rock samples, while completely abandoning the hard beats so heavily associated with hip-hop, is absolutely amazing. Macklemore is also fucking amazing.
