Today I was in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia. While I was there, I went to two of the coolest stores in Philly and snapped some pictures. Here you go:
Sugarcube - 124 N. Third Street - Menswear and Womenswear -
Sugarcube is an amazing store. Everything from the selection of merchandise to the interior and design is spot on. You can find jeans, shirts, hats, ties, khakis, knits, scarves, and coats for men, but the store also has a great women’s section as well. The major menswear brands stocked by Sugarcube are Levi’s Made and Crafted, Soludos, BLKSMTH, A.P.C., Pendleton, and Steven Alan. However, some great vintage finds are thrown in there too. Overall, an extremely attractive store with extremely attractive goods.
Art In The Age Of Mechanical Reproduction - 116 N. Third Street - Menswear and Womenswear -
As the name of this shop clearly indicates, this is not your average boutique. It belongs in the heart of Williamsburg; I will say that much. However, if you are in Philly and looking for brands like The Hill-Side, Penfield, Woolrich, and Gitman Vintage, this is the place you want to be. My favorite thing about the shop is the fact that they sell their own extremely old-school liquors. Root is their most popular, and cannot be described except by saying that it is an incredibly delicious, spice filled, liquid.
If you are in the Old City section of Philadelphia, I highly recommend checking out both of these beautiful stores and grabbing something to eat in the neighborhood. Both are a few blocks off of Market and even better, almost right next to each other.
